Lets try to do Laundry....

We did laundry...!
OK, we got the detergent in-maybe the right amount?
We figured one knob was for water temperature, one for speed of spinning? And then one knob for go.
We turned it on....
wait....
spinning starts....
spinning stops.....
open lid....
no water....
Steve turns a knob and water shoots our from the open lid all the way across the apartment at speeds so fast we couldn’t react soon enough.
We drop the lid and laughed as we mopped up the mess.
We still don't know what all these knobs do.
Any ideas??

Congrats on the new place! I might be able to help with this one. If you chose cycle 1, it will likely take over 2 hours (don't ask me what it does for that long!). I normally go for 3 or 4 - it's thorough for cottons, but you won't spend all day waiting for your wash to end. For light loads/synthedics, go for 7 or 8.

We had a friend in Beijing who hired a cleaning lady partly because he couldn't figure out his washing machine!

Thank YOU!!!!! We got a great laugh out of the whole thing. Any after about 90 minutes, the wash was done and it smelled like the detergent.

Oh please build one of those laundry line things above your kitchen table that you can lower and raise with a pulley system! Just like Istvan and Maria!
